Privacy Policy
Last updated July 7, 2026
Dawn Apps ("Dawn Apps," "we," "us," or "our") operates the DripScore mobile application for iOS and Android (Bundle ID: co.dawnapps.dripscore) and related pages on dawnapps.co(collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use DripScore, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using DripScore, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you use DripScore, we may collect:
- A unique account identifier created when you use the app (including anonymous guest accounts).
- Information from Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, such as your name, email address, and profile photo, if you choose to link an account.
- Style preferences you provide during onboarding, such as gender presentation, style vibes, and style goals.
- App activity related to your profile, such as rating counts, streak data, premium status, and notification preferences.
Photos and outfit ratings
DripScore is built around outfit photos. When you rate an outfit, we collect and process:
- Photos you capture with the camera or select from your photo library.
- Context you provide with a rating, such as occasion or mode (for example, standard rating or Roast Mode).
- Generated results, including scores, summaries, tips, suggestions, and Roast Mode commentary.
- AI-generated outfit images, if you use premium image generation features.
Photos and related rating data may be stored on our servers (Supabase cloud storage and database) so you can view your history and use premium features. Photos are associated with your account identifier.
Device and usage information
We may collect:
- Device identifiers used to enforce free-tier limits and prevent abuse, such as Apple's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) on iOS and equivalent device identifiers on Android. This is separate from product analytics and is not sent to PostHog.
- Basic technical information needed to operate the app, such as app version and platform.
- Product analytics data through PostHog, including app interaction events (such as screens viewed and feature usage), funnel steps (for example onboarding and rating flows), app lifecycle events, and aggregated usage metadata (such as platform, subscription status, onboarding completion, and rating counts as analytics properties). See "Product analytics (PostHog)" below for details.
- Authentication session data stored securely on your device.
We use analytics to understand how DripScore is used and to improve the app — not for cross-app advertising, selling your personal information, or tracking you across other companies' apps and websites. We do not use the Identifier for Advertising (IDFA) or similar advertising identifiers for analytics.
We do not use your data for cross-app advertising or tracking, and we do not sell your personal information.
Product analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog (PostHog Inc., PostHog Cloud US region at us.i.posthog.com) for product analytics during normal app use after you install or update DripScore. PostHog receives event data such as screen or route views (for example /camera, /paywall, /analyzing), app lifecycle events, custom funnel events (such as onboarding steps, photo selection, rating started or completed, and paywall actions), and non-sensitive event properties (such as source, mode, occasion, score, plan, and generic error messages). Sensitive parameters such as photo URIs and raw rating JSON are stripped before sending.
When you have a Supabase account identifier, PostHog may also receive that user ID and linked analytics properties such as is_premium, is_anonymous, onboarding_completed, total_ratings, and platform. PostHog does not receive outfit photos, photo library content, raw AI response text, your email, name, or Apple or Google profile data. PostHog touch autocapture, heatmaps, and web vitals are disabled or not applicable in our mobile app configuration.
PostHog processes this data on our behalf as a service provider for analytics only. If you have questions about analytics data, contact us at meetayyab@gmail.com.
Subscription and purchase information
Payments for DripScore Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Through our subscription provider (RevenueCat) and Apple, we may receive information such as subscription status, product purchased, and purchase dates to unlock premium features and restore purchases.
Local data on your device
Some preferences are stored locally on your device (for example, camera settings and reminder preferences) using secure storage. Local notifications, if enabled, are scheduled on your device and are not sent through remote push notifications.
Information you send us
If you contact us at meetayyab@gmail.com, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and message content.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide outfit ratings, feedback, and premium features.
- Process photos using automated analysis to generate scores, tips, suggestions, and optional Roast Mode commentary.
- Maintain your account, history, and subscription access.
- Enforce free-tier limits and prevent misuse of the Services.
- Send local reminders if you opt in to notifications.
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you.
- Measure app usage, understand onboarding and conversion funnels, diagnose issues, and improve the product experience through analytics.
- Improve, maintain, and secure DripScore.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Automated processing and AI
DripScore uses automated systems, including third-party AI services, to analyze outfit photos and generate text and image outputs. These systems are designed to comment on clothing and styling choices, not on your body, face, weight, age, or identity.
AI-generated results may not always be accurate or appropriate for every situation. They are provided for personal and entertainment purposes and are not professional fashion, styling, or personal advice.
Third-party AI processing (Google Gemini)
We use Google Gemini(Google's generative AI service), accessed through Supabase Edge Functions on our backend, to process user content for AI features in DripScore.
What we send to Google Gemini:
- Outfit photos you choose to analyze.
- Onboarding style preferences, such as gender presentation, style vibes, and style goals.
- Occasion or context you provide with a rating.
- Text prompts related to outfit ratings, Roast Mode, and premium AI-generated outfit images (on demand).
Why we send it: To generate outfit scores, category breakdowns, tips, suggestions, Roast Mode commentary, and optional AI-generated outfit images.
When we send it: Only after you grant explicit in-app consent on our AI consent sheet in the app — not merely by installing the app or accepting this Privacy Policy. The consent sheet names Google Gemini, describes the data listed above, links to this Privacy Policy at /apps/dripscore/privacy, and offers Agree & Continue or Not Now. If you choose Not Now, we do not send your data to Google Gemini for those features.
How to decline or revoke: You can decline on the consent sheet. You can also revoke consent at any time in Profile → AI Style Analysis. Declining or revoking means we do not send new data to Google Gemini for AI features covered by that setting. Revoking AI consent does not by itself delete photos, ratings, or other data already stored in your DripScore account on our servers.
For more information about how Google handles data, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google AI / Gemini API terms.
Google processes data shared with Gemini under Google's own privacy, security, and contractual terms applicable to its AI services and API customers. We select service providers we believe offer protections appropriate for the type of data we share and the purposes described in this policy. Google's practices may differ from ours, and we do not control Google's internal retention, logging, or security measures.
4. How we share information
We share information only as described below:
- Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and server-side functions (including connections to AI services). Supabase processes data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase status. RevenueCat processes data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
- Google Gemini (Google) — AI processing of outfit photos, style preferences, occasion/context, and related text prompts to generate scores, feedback, suggestions, Roast Mode commentary, and optional AI-generated outfit images, only after you grant in-app AI consent as described in Section 3.
- Apple, for App Store purchases, subscription management, and Sign in with Apple.
- Google Sign-In (Google), if you choose to sign in with Google — for account authentication only. This is separate from Google Gemini AI processing.
- PostHog (PostHog Inc.) — product analytics (event data, screen or route views, user identifier, and non-sensitive profile properties such as premium status, onboarding completion, and rating counts as described in Section 1). Data is sent to PostHog Cloud in the United States. PostHog processes data on our behalf under contractual obligations. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.
- Legal and safety, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
What we retain: We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide DripScore. Rating history, photos, and profile data remain stored on Supabase until you delete your account or ask us to delete your data.
What Google retains: Data sent to Google Gemini for AI processing is handled according to Google's retention, logging, and processing policies. We do not control how long Google retains API inputs, outputs, or related logs. Revoking AI consent stops new transmissions to Gemini but does not by itself delete data already stored in your DripScore account or data Google may retain under its own policies.
What PostHog retains:Analytics event data is retained according to PostHog's policies and our PostHog project settings. Deleting your DripScore account removes your app data from our servers but may not automatically delete historical analytics events already stored in PostHog that are tied to your user identifier. You may contact us at meetayyab@gmail.com to request deletion of analytics data associated with your account, subject to applicable law.
If you delete your account through the app, we delete your profile, ratings, stored photos, device fingerprint records, and authentication account from our systems, subject to limited retention required by law or legitimate business needs (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our terms).
6. Your choices and rights
- Guest use: You can start using DripScore without linking Apple or Google. Linking an account helps preserve your data and subscription across devices.
- Permissions: You can control camera, photo library, and notification permissions in your device Settings. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.
- AI data sharing consent: Before we send data to Google Gemini, the app shows an in-app consent sheet naming Google Gemini and describing what is shared. You can grant consent by choosing Agree & Continue, or decline with Not Now. You can revoke consent at any time in Profile → AI Style Analysis; revoking stops future Gemini requests for those features. See Section 3 for details.
- Account deletion: You can delete your account from Profile in the app. This removes your stored ratings, photos, and account data from our servers. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription — you must cancel subscriptions separately in your Apple ID settings.
- Subscriptions: Manage or cancel subscriptions at Apple Subscriptions.
- Access and deletion requests: You may contact us at meetayyab@gmail.com to request access to or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law (for example, the GDPR or UK GDPR). We will respond to valid requests in accordance with applicable law.
7. Children's privacy
DripScore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at meetayyab@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure storage for authentication data on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we take steps designed to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at /apps/dripscore/privacyand change the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of DripScore after an update means you accept the revised policy.
