Questions
Does Emberway use a VPN?+
No. Protection is built on Apple's own Screen Time, on your phone. Nothing about your browsing is routed through us or anyone else, and your connection works the same on Wi-Fi and mobile data.
What does it block?+
Adult websites in Safari and other browsers, using Apple's adult-content filter plus a list of the biggest adult sites. And any apps you choose, locked during your tricky hours or at every hour. It can't see inside apps you haven't locked, so locking those apps is the answer.
Is it private?+
There's no account, no email and no name. Everything you write and log stays on your phone. Emberway never learns which sites you visit or which apps you lock; Apple keeps that from us by design.
What happens if I slip?+
You tell the app, it asks what would have helped, and tomorrow's plan gets a little smarter. The clock restarts. Your hours back, waves ridden and lanterns stay.
Is it religious?+
No. Faith is an optional layer you can switch on, with prayer and practice times for six traditions, including spiritual but not religious. Everything works the same without it.
